During the winter holiday period spanning late December 2021 to the first couple of weeks in January, 2022, a few of us chartered a boat in the BVIs and explored some of the beauty that abounds there. The crew consisted of myself, my daughters Kristina and Natalie, Natalie’s boyfriend Kevin, and my best friend (and ex-wife) Dora. Although I knew the purchase of Galini was imminent, it had yet to occur, so we chartered from an established firm that was establishing a new operation in the BVI. The boat was a new 2021 Dufour 45. There were to be a number of new exercises to establish expertise; including all that goes into reserving-finding-securing mooring balls, planning and executing daily trips while not trying to plan anything, and of course…keeping everyone happy. All in all, a good experience was had by everyone and although we had chartered in different locations in the med several times before, this was our first as a lone family unit. and claiming mo chasing bouys in a field, and This was a sunset on Anagada on Dec 6, 2022 from the beach off Anagada.
